Larry W Suitter, 73, of Ottawa, Ontario, passed away at Winchester District Memorial Hospital on June 8, 2024, from complications of vascular Dementia Larry was born on July 19th, 1950 to Warren and Mary (Lencourt)Suitter in Lincoln, Maine. Larry always loved fishing, animals, spending time at the cottage with family and playing with his many grandchildren. He was often found enjoying an ice cold can of Pepsi. He was a very passionate man who was an extremely hard worker with a very sharp sense of humor. His love for helping those in need and pioneering Barrhaven’s community donations to the Jerry Lewis Telethon will certainly add to Larry’s legacy. 

Spending time with the extended family during Christmas was one of Larry’s favourite pastimes as he loved to watch the kids open gifts and make his way around the room ensuring everyone was excited for Santa’s arrival.

 Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and loyal friend. He is survived by this wife of 45 years, Mona Suitter (nee Ilic); his son Timothy (Jodie)Suitter; his son Christopher (Jackie) Suitter; his daughter Laura (Shawn) Haviland ; his daughter Holly (Tony) Marcantonio; and son Lawrence (Chelsea) Suitter; grandchildren Riley,Peyton,Tevin,Tyson,Jacob, Justin, Ellie,Carter,Carlo,Giorgia, and Wyatt. Larry will be missed by Sisters Linda, Colleen, and Maureen(Chris), many nieces and nephews. Mira Ilic (predeceased)and Boris Ilic(predeceased) held a special place in Larry’s heart as a sister and brother in law. 

A celebration of life will be held on Friday June 21st, 2024 at the Stittsville Golf Course on Fernbank Road in Stittsville from 3pm to 7pm. 

As per Larry’s life, dress code will be casual attire. Larry loved his jeans and workboots. 

An opportunity to tell a story or say a few words will be welcomed. Larry will be dearly missed by his family.
