Brian Paul Beamish

Brian Beamish, 81, of Dunrobin, Ontario, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2023 at the Ottawa General Hospital surrounded by family.

Born on June 8, 1942 in Ottawa to Marie and Ellery Beamish, Brian lived a life filled with devotion and support for his family.

Brian graduated from Glebe Collegiate Institute and attended Ottawa University before starting his automotive recycling career.  Brian was a loving spouse to Barbara Beamish (Grant), biological  father to Graeme Harris and dedicated stepfather to Tracie, Rod and Sean McDonald and granddaughter Jade McDonald.

Family was the most important aspect of Brian's life and he cherished time spent with loved ones, friends from the Dunrobin community, and his many beloved pets. Brian's favourite activities included sailing, groundskeeping and continuously improving his riverfront home in Dunrobin, Ontario , as well as exploring the United States on extended motor homing trips with Barbara.

Brian is survived by his wife Barbara and children, Graeme, Tracie, Rod and Sean.  Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Ellery Beamish and his sister Patricia Tomka (Beamish).

A Celebration of Brian's life will be held June 8th, 2024 at Constance Lake Lodge Restaurant (Brian's favourite place to go for breakfast with friends during the Dunrobin years) from 10 am-Noon.  https://www.facebook.com/ConstanceLakeLodge/   Please RSVP by April 30^th so we can finalize arrangements with the venue.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Ontario Humane Society.
