Julia Phyllis Sangster

December 31, 1935 — June 26, 2023

In loving memory of Julia Phyllis Sangster.

Julia was born in Swansea, Wales to Phyllis and William Grove. She was widowed by her husband Daniel James Sangster, and is survived by her daughters Anne and Loraine as well as her sisters Gloria and Linda in Swansea Wales. She was the Grandmother of three: Daniel, Caitlin, and Evan. She enjoyed spending as much time as she could with them, helping each through their life's obstacles and always at the ready to offer advice and wisdom. Amongst the many family members still residing overseas, she especially enjoyed catching up with her closest nephew, Phillip, and his wife Claire.

Julia enjoyed meeting new people and sharing stories, which lent itself well to her career as a travel agent. In her retirement years, she took up many hobbies such as painting, helping with local stage productions, learning about homeopathic medicine, and continued to travel for as long as she could. One of her favorite activities was crocheting, and over the years she created many beautiful pieces of clothing, blankets, and winter wear for friends and family. Julia lived a life of endless curiosity; open to people from all walks of life, she easily made new friends anywhere that she went. When she moved to Janetville she became close friends with her neighbours Kathy and Tom, and Ann Louise in Lindsay. She is sadly missed by her family and friends, but memories will keep her alive in our hearts.

At Julia's request, there will be no funeral service.
