Moe (Maurice) Lalonde

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Moe Lalonde, also known as Papa, on Saturday September 16th at the age of 71.

Predeceased by his parents Leonard and Simone Lalonde, his son Steven Lalonde and daughter Mandy Lalonde, his sister Helene (Charlie) Richer and brothers Gerard, Roland and Rene. He is survived by his son and best friend, Pete Lalonde, his grandchildren Amber-Lee Lalonde (Jordan), Kallie Lalonde, Chase Lalonde, Hailey Lalonde, Malory Sabourin-Lalonde, Mackenzie Sabourin-Lalonde, great granddaughter Zoey Sadler, his brothers Marcel (Elaine). Andre (Diane), Denis (Sandra) and sisters Carmen (late Maurice) Serre, Ghislaine (Roger) and Suzanne.

For the past 35 years Moe drove a dump truck for Tiger at Levesque M & Son Cartage Ltd which was like a second family to him. While not at work, he enjoyed spending his time taking his Harley out for long rides, as he did the Friday before his passing and it was an absolutely beautiful day. When he pulled into the drive to park his bike with the sunset behind him he was grinning ear to ear; it was an amazing last ride.

Friends and family may pay their respects at the Orleans United Church, 1111 Orleans Blvd. on Monday September 25. A viewing will be held starting at 11:00 a.m. followed by a service at 1:00 p.m.
