Rose Ann Coffey

COFFEY, Rose Ann – passed away peacefully at the St. Peters Hospice in Hamilton on Friday January 14, 2022 at the age of 67 after a short battle with cancer. Loving Mother of James Hefler and Sara Hefler. Much loved sister of Diane (Daniel), Patrick, Ellen and Steven.

Preceded in death by father Terrance Coffey (1972) and mother Faith Coffey (2003) and brothers and brother-in-law Matthew (2009), Paul (2014) Tom (2016) and John Richardson (2019). Loved and missed by nephews Derek, Stuart, Ian, and Kenneth and niece Jennifer.

Rose was born and raised in Toronto. A very positive person, she accepted life’s challenges with an optimistic passion. Family was very important to her and she devoted her life to her children. She spent a large part of her working career teaching English as a second language where she excelled in helping new Canadians adjust to life in Canada. Rose had a distinctively soft voice and she loved interacting with people from all walks of life, especially enjoying a stimulating conversation. Forever loved and remembered, may she rest in peace.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
