I was born in Cornwall, Ontario, on July 17, 1951, and named Wesley Duncan Murray. My mom, Dorothy Hazel MacInnes and dad, Johnson Wesley Murray, were surprised I was 3 months early. (I couldn't wait !!!)
I weighed in at only two pounds! My lungs were not developed and thankfully Dr.Gourley took a train to Chicago, brought me Tetracycline and I survived!
My sister Heather, and brother Kevin were already here, we were all under 3 years old. Mom sure was busy! Our little dachshunddog Ginger was sweet.
We camped from an early age, canvas tenting then a small trailer..then my dad built a houseboat, we travelled the St Lawrence River/Rideau Canal..many great memories!
As a teen, I hitch-hiked to Mexico and back twice with my big brother Kevin.
My dad worked hard and I joined him and Kevin in his trailer business, as the mechanical guy.
In my early 20's I had an unfortunate event while riding my Honda Goldwing, almost lost my right leg to a shattered ankle. I limped and carried on.
My highlight was marrying Cindy Antle and fathering two beautiful daughters, Tina and Kayla, the loves of my life!
I started my own trailer business, my goal is to help people camp! I sold and rented trailers, even delivered and set them up for people that wanted vacations in the woods!
When my dad became ill, I helped him all I could so he could stay home. His little dog Ginger became mine after he passed, Ginger passed a year to the day after dad did...
As an Earth element person, my role has been helper/peacemaker, helping others before myself. My health suffered. First, kidney cancer, successfully treated,5 years later….colon cancer, after 2 years of treatment, was declared terminal. I was told "get papers in order, nothing we can do"... As a private person I reversed that with natural means in 6 weeks, which my doctor said was "a medical miracle".
For years I helped others, with health information and encouragement, and service, while becoming a seven-year plus survivor of a terminal diagnosis!
The last few years have been rough, the economy down & costs up. I also lost my dear partner Ellen in August 2020. Then the total loss of my dream, business and property, also in 2020.
My sister Heather visited in October 2020. It was difficult due to the “Covid restrictions”. However, we enjoyed making plans/anticipating driving all of Route 66 together in summer/2021. Yeah, that was a great idea!!!!
I continued to help others by providing rides, offering friendship and kindness.
The winter hit me hard, it was so cold, my car broke down, with heavy financial burdens, pension garnished, and bills piling up. Then there were the tough government rules of isolation- missed my friends…which all took a toll on me.
Perhaps I could not see the light for myself and hold on.
My sister was notified on April 26, 2021, that I had passed...and she fell apart...
All I ever wanted was to Love and be Loved........now I am STARMAN....in a beautiful place with great health, no pain and stress-free. My Mom, Dad, Brother and Ellen are here, and the two Gingers!!!
I show myself to you, the ones I love… as a green lizard, a flower, a frog, a butterfly, a dog, a bird, a star, a tree, a babies’ smile, a friendly wave, or an unanticipated act of kindness. Unexpected lovingkindness...something we all deserve!
You, my friends, Sue, Francine, Karen, Steve, Mario, Carol, RJ, Bruce and all the others, you know who you are.. too many to name here...I am lucky to know you!
Heather told me about all the memories that have been shared. I am honoured to have had the opportunity to experience your love, kindness and friendship.
I am beaming unconditional love on you, friends and family! I anticipate seeing you all again in glowing health and beautiful surroundings...
