Adolf Paul Konrad Karlein

Passed away peacefully surrounded by love at Matthews House Hospice in Alliston, on Friday April 18th, 2025. Adolf Karlein in his 89th year, was born in Oberhausen, Germany, August 25th, 1936. The beloved father of Catherine Barrer of Barrie and the late Paul Karlein of Utopia. Cherished grandfather of Liam and Afton Barrer of Barrie. Loving partner of Marlina Vermeer of Tottenham. Stepfather of Cassandra of Hamilton and Bri of North Bay. Adolf was predeceased by his parents Frederick and Rosa (Bauman) of Angus, brothers August, Horst and Sisters Sofie Malarczyk and Razel Rosier; as well as former spouse Patricia Webster. Special friend of Stan St. Croix and Gladys Pecholes. Adolf Karlien spent 40 years being employed at Plastomer as a lead hand technician and coached soccer in the 1970’s for the Barrie Minor soccer league Squirt Division.

Visitation at Jennett Funeral Home located at 152 Bradford St, Barrie, from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, on Friday April 25th, with service beginning at 1:00 pm, followed by a reception. A private family interment will be held at the Barrie Union Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to Stevenson Memorial Hospital or Matthews House Hospice Alliston.
