We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Adriaan Karel Ninaber Peacefully on October 19, 2021 at his home after a brief illness. Adriaan in his 83rd year was the beloved husband of Henny (62 years), Loving Dad to Jean-Ann (Harry), Henry (Heather) and Michelle (Dave). Cherished Opa to Ryan, Christina, Michelle, Kathryn, Kelly-Ann, Jessica, Victoria, Matthew ,Emma and Great Opa to 9.

Born in Medan Indonesia on Nov 5, 1938, he spent his early years in a Japanese Prisoner of War Camp before settling in Holland.

In 1957 Adriaan set off on an adventure and immigrated to Canada. 2 years later he was joined by his wife Henny, together they built a beautiful life full of love, laughter and joy.

Family was the center stone of his life and no matter how busy he was he never missed an important milestone or family function.

Adriaan had a love for sailing from a very young age, and could always be found on the water enjoying the peacefulness it brought him.

Later in life Adriaan escaped the Canadian winters and he could be found in Myrtle Beach playing golf, walking on the beach and enjoying the warm weather and the friends he made there.

He will be sorely missed and we ask that you remember and cherish the fond memories that he has left us with.

He will be in our hearts forever
