Agisilaos Kapasouris

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Agisilaos Kapasouris, surrounded by his family, on January 14, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on June 10,1941, in Petrina, Laconia, Greece, Agisilaos was predeceased by his parents, Alexandros and Magdalene, and his three older siblings: Panagiotis, Kostantinos, and Georgia.

On June 11, 1967, Agisilaos married the love of his life, Christina Sarantopoulos, and together they began their new life in Toronto, Canada. A devoted husband and father, Agisilaos instilled in his sons, Alexandros and Aris, the importance of hard work and family. Despite his long hours in the hospitality industry, he never missed an opportunity to be there for his boys, including early mornings spent driving them to hockey practice on just a few hours of sleep.

Agisilaos had a passion for gardening, tending to his vegetables with care, and taking particular pride in his cherished fig tree. Known as the life of the party, he had a gift for lighting up every room with his warm smile and lively stories, often reminiscing about the good old days and how Petrina produces the best olive oil in the world.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Christina; his sons, Alexandros (Reischea) and Aris(Georgia); and his grandchildren, Leos, Michael, Agisilaos, and Chrisonia, who brought him endless pride and joy. Agisilaos was deeply loved by his extended family of nephews, nieces, cousins, and countless friends. We take comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on in the love he shared and the treasured memories he leaves behind. May his memory be eternal.
