Albert Harry Saunders

SAUNDERS, Albert Harry - On Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Barrie, Ontario in his 90th year after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. Al was born on July 28th, 1932, in Toronto, Ontario to Gladys (nee) Harrison and Alfred Saunders. After graduating high school Al began his 35-year accounting career with Imperial Oil in Toronto. He retired at age 55 and continued to enjoy an active retirement for an additional 35 years with his wife Diane (nee Brown), celebrating their 62nd wedding anniversary in June of 2022. Al will be loved always and missed dearly by his wife Diane, his daughters Kelley (& Mark Kuk), Kimberley and Kristey, and his grandsons Conner (& Deserai) and Liam. A special ‘Thank You’ to the staff and volunteers at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie, Ontario for their kindness and compassion in caring for Al. Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service will be held.
