Alice Marie Browner passed away peacefully on June 3, 2023 at Sunrise Mississauga at the age of 85. Alice will be missed by her brother Raymond Laflamme (Michèle), sister Marie Swift, goddaughter and niece Jacqueline Laflamme Coffen and family, many nieces and nephews in Canada, the US and Ireland, amazing friends and honorary nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her husband Eamonn (Francis) Browner, parents Lionel and Aline (nee Lymburner) Laflamme, sister Helen Swift and brothers Lionel, André and Jean.
Alice started her career as a laboratory technician and then worked in research at the Centre de Recherches Cliniques. In 1963 she took a position as the Assistant Registrar at the Canadian Society of Laboratory Techinicians where she worked for the next 35 years retiring out as the Certification Director for Medical Technologists.
Alice loved to travel, garden, knit, ski, entertain and buy shoes. She was a very active member of the St. Dominic’s Parish. Never one to be idle, after retirement she began a long and illustrious career as a volunteer including many years purchasing the supplies for and playing an integral role at the Garden Café at the Mississauga’s Seniors’ Centre. Alice and Eamonn loved to entertain. They held many social events for church members, neighbours, friends and family, and local and touring rugby teams.

As Alice’s husband Eamonn predeceased her by three weeks, a joint memorial service will be held at St John’s Dixie Cemetery & Crematorium located at 737 Dundas St E on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 2pm followed by a reception in the adjoining hall.
