Anastasia (Tassia) Bukuris

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Anastasia (Tassia) Bukuris, who has left this life to be reunited with her beloved daughter, Rosie; husband, Nikolaos; and mother, Soultana. While her absence is deeply felt, we find comfort in knowing she is now at peace with her loved ones.

Born and raised in Galatini, Greece, Tassia later moved to Canada, where she married her beloved husband, Nikolaos, and together they built a life filled with love and devotion. A quiet and gentle soul, Tassia was dedicated to her daughter Rosie and son-in-law Chris. She was a doting grandmother to her two cherished grandchildren, Nikolas and Stephanie, who brought her immense joy. Her grandchildren and son-in-law loved her dearly and will always carry her memory in their hearts.

Tassia is lovingly remembered by her brother Nikolaos and sister-in-law Athina, who held a special place in her heart. She was also deeply cherished by her niece Katy (John), whom she affectionately called her “second daughter”. Her nieces and nephews, Susie (Jim), Joanna (O’Neal), and Dino (Anna), will forever treasure her memory. Her quiet presence and kind spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and staff at the Hellenic Home for the Aged for their excellent care and compassionate support.
