Andrew Phillip Aitkens

Andrew died peacefully on Saturday June 26, 2021 after a brief battle with cancer.

Predeceased by his parents, Phillip Webb Aitkens (d.1994) and Shirley Frances Aitkens (Hughes) (d. 2016), Andrew was born January 10, 1949 in Ottawa, Ontario. Brother of Charles, Thomas, John and Elizabeth. Treasured Uncle of Liz’s boys Phillip & William and John’s girls, Heather and Julia.

Andrew enjoyed cooking, gardening, the theatre and time spent at the family cottage on the Big Rideau Lake. He had a passion for music and was a long-time singer with the Ottawa Choral Society.

A private family celebration of life has taken place. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice Care Ottawa.(see link below)
