Andrew (Andy) Carter

February 25, 1963 — October 24, 2022

Passed away in his sleep in Mississauga, Ontario. He suffered from complications of diabetes and an earlier amputation. He was the beloved son of predeceased parents Gordon William Carter and Jeannine Albiane (nee Giroux) Carter both of Ottawa. He is survived by his siblings Louise, Monique MacDonald (late Ian), Evelyn, and Steven Carter (Angie). He is also survived by his senior Uncle Gerald Carter of Wynard, Saskatchewan and Aunt Wilma (late George Carter) of Ottawa and many cousins.

He was the loving “Uncle Buck” to his nephews and their spouses/partners, Matthew MacDonald (Karey), Zachary Manwell, Devin, Garett and Marcus Johnstone (Brittany) and nieces Stephanie Manwell, Erica and Adriana Carter. He was fortunate to be a part of the lives of a great nephew Cruz and great niece Riley Johnstone and their mom Nicole.

A graduate of Sir Guy Carleton Secondary School (1982) he completed certification at Merv Orr Transport Driver Training School soon after (1985).

He enjoyed life on the open road as an AZ Transport Driver for various companies traveling many, many miles throughout Canada and the USA.

Per his wishes there will be no memorial service. May he Rest in Peace.
