Anna came into this world on November 14, 1980 in Toronto. From the beginning she always had a big heart and a big smile for everyone. Anna grew up with her parents, two older brothers, a younger sister, and a lot of cousins.
She loved reading books, and being with friends. Anna loved figure skating, sewing Ukrainian embroidery, making fancy bracelets and head bands, and Ukrainian folk dancing with Barvinok. She would make friends quickly and easily with her big smile and her laughter. She loved spending time at CYM Youth Club, and going to summer camp at Veselka with her friends. Anna was a free spirit who loved animals and birds.
Anna attended St. Sofia School and graduated from St. Francis Xavier High School, then Humber College with a Programming Diploma, then a Business College Certificate, then a Medical Technician Certificate, and a Ukrainian High School Diploma from Yuri Lypa Academy. She worked at different jobs from being a receptionist, to a manager, to a project manager. She was intelligent and she had a lot of potential.
Anna was later married and had a son Nicholas. When Nicholas became a teenager she would often volunteer with Nicholas at a Food Shelter to help the poor and homeless people. She was always compassionate and kind to people in need. Her heart and generosity was always larger than her pocket. In the last few weeks of her life, Anna discussed her plans of travelling with her mother to Ukraine to help out in the crisis.
Nicholas suddenly and tragically died in 2018 at the age of 20. Anna was overwhelmed, crushed and devastated. We can only try to imagine how difficult life became for her. She would constantly talk and write about how much she loved and missed Nicky.
Anna left us and this world suddenly and tragically on March 30 of this year. She left an icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a rosary, a bible, and pictures of Nicholas on her night table. For over 3 years Anna wore a memorial pendant of Nicholas that she never took off.
For now we say good bye to Anna, we will miss your sweet smile and silly jokes. May your gentle soul rest and find peace with your son Nicky.
May all our prayers for Anna touch God’s Eternal Love and Divine Mercy.
Rest In Peace Вічна їй пам'ять
