Anthony Carl Spano

On Friday, January 29, 2021, Anthony Carl Spano passed away suddenly at the Ottawa Civic Hospital at the age of 65.  Carl was predeceased by his wife, Arlene Ambroziak, his parents, George and Stella, sister, Lynn, and brother-in-law, Spencer.  He leaves behind his daughters, Tracey, Natalie and Samantha, step-son Daniel, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his dear friend, Augie, and his beloved cat, Putt Putt.  Dear brother to Bev (Joe) and Perry (Barb). Carl was a free spirit who lived life on his terms, always endeavoring to be self-sufficient.  He was well known for his businesses “Crazy Carl’s” and “Carl’s Painting.” He organized a bike run “Cycle for Arlene” donating funds to the May Court Hospice. Burial to follow at Notre-Dame Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Ottawa Humane Society.
