In loving memory of a devoted father to Gerda (Alan), Evelyn and Brian (Jasmine); loving husband of Ella Wolf (nee Wegner); proud opa to Shannon (Chris), David, Jessica (Muneeb), Sarah, Karen, Kate and Mitch, and great-opa to Drake, Hunter and Nafisa.
A strong and trustworthy presence in our family's life, he will be dearly missed.
Youngest child of David and Maria Ursula Wolf of Nendingen Germany, Tony was the last surviving member of his family's generation. Nephews Theobald (Ted) and Hermann, and nieces Rita and Gerlinda were fondly in his heart over the years even though many thousands of miles stood between them.
Born in Nendingen Germany, Tony and his wife, Ella, immigrated to Canada early in their marriage to settle first in Toronto and later in Scarborough where they raised their family. Starting his work life in Canada in 1954 he worked for Perkell Brothers Construction who were instrumental in helping Tony establish his growing family. Later he brought his machinist's skills (learned while working with his brothers in Germany) to the fore, and worked for DeHaviland Aircraft for 25 years. In retirement years they lived and played on their 10 acres on Valleyview Dr in Georgina where wine making, tractor repair, windmill building, and beekeeping kept him happily occupied and also became a door to meeting new friends.
Reaching the ripe age of 90 years old, Tony experienced a full life and, gratefully, a peaceful death after complications of a stroke took too great a toll. A private memorial service will be held for friends and family.
