It is with deep sadness the Moulton family announces the passing of Arthur (Art) Moulton on December 28, 2023. Art will be remembered for his keen and wicked sense of humour which garnered him the nickname “Joker”. Early in his working life Art followed in his father’s footsteps and enjoyed driving transport. This love of being on the road led to Art’s passion of riding motorcycle. He especially enjoyed road trips on his Harley that included his biker family and friends. Art moved on from trucking to working at the Peel Board where he enjoyed working as a maintenance mechanic before his retirement. Art was an early riser and never one to sit still, he could often be found in his garage polishing his bike or tinkering with something to keep him occupied. Art will be fondly remembered by his family and friends for his ability to make any room of people erupt with laughter and for his appreciation of jazz music. Art was always keen to grasp any opportunity to travel to the beach, especially a beach in the Caribbean where he thoroughly enjoyed his walks with the surf and sand at his feet, the sun on his face and Sherry by his side. Above all things, Art was committed to his family, especially advocating for his daughter Clarinda. Art was incredibly proud of his grandson Cooper and took great pleasure at spending time with him, particularly the times he had playing soccer with Cooper.
Art will be sadly missed by his beloved wife, Sherry (known lovingly as “Ralph”), to whom he was married for 34 years, his daughter Clarinda and his grandson Cooper. Art will be deeply missed by his siblings Linda Blanchard (Mike), Chris Poirier, Ron (Marie), Debbie Cress (Rick), as well as his brother-in-law Bill Waters (Lori) and sister-in-law Bonnie Moulton. Art will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cherished friends.
Art is predeceased by: his brother Rocky; his parents Russell Norris Moulton and Jane Loreen Homer; his father-in-law Gordon Waters; his mother-in-law May Waters; his brother-in-law Joe Poirier and his nephews Troy and Jeffrey Moulton.
The family would like to thank Dr. Vik and Ian Anderson House for the kindness and support they provided to Art and his family during a very difficult time.
No funeral service will be held at this time. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
