Ashok Verma

Ashok Kumar Verma was born in Ludhiana, Punjab, India on May 29th, 1949 to Magan Nath Verma and Vidyavati Verma; loving husband to Bhupinder Kaur Verma, dearest father to daughters Kavita Verma, Anita Verma and son Neil Verma (Jenny) ; loving brother to the late Dharamvhir Kumar Verma (living Kanta), Kamlesh Ohri (late Krishan Kumar) and Rakesh Magoon (living Chander), survived by his three siblings Mohan Kumar Verma (Usha), Naresh Thapar (Maharaj Krishan) and Satish Kumar Verma (Mridula) and by his 25 loving nieces and nephews. Ashok Kumar Verma arrived in Canada on August 30th, 1969, worked 2 jobs from 1969 to 1977, and became self-employed by creating a chain of women’s fashion clothing stores called Chic Talk and Imagine Boutique from 1977 to 2008.  From 2006 to 2020 he spent his time celebrating milestones with his family and becoming a grandfather to Amit, Anya, Dhilan, Sky and Cole.  Ashok Kumar Verma, age 71, passed away peacefully the morning of August 20th, 2020 surrounded by his wife and children with family and friends around the world praying for him in his final hour.  Upon Ashok Kumar Verma’s passing his lungs and heart were donated to science for further research and development in the field of Lung Transplant Medicine in Canada.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Toronto General & Western Hospital Lung Transplant Research, or planting a tree in memory of Ashok would be greatly appreciated by the family.
