Peacefully at the Sherwood Park Manor on Monday, April 29, 2024 Audrey Patricia Legault (nee Fleming) passed away surrounded by her daughters. In her 93rd year she is predeceased by her husband Ferdinand Paul Legault, her eldest sister Betty, her grandson Tony Michael Ferdinand Legault O’Neill, her niece Karen Monserrat, and her nephew Kevin Monserrat.
Audrey was a loving and ever present mother to her daughters Christine Ida Legault, Elizabeth Ann Legault, Lynda Audrey Legault, Lisa Marie Legault and her two sisters, Valerie Monsarrat and Sheila Gamblen. She was cherished grandmother to Sean Legault Parsonage, Erin Legault Parsonage, Liam Gerard Albert Legault O’Neill, Lukas Legault Morthost, and Scott Mathias Legault Morthost and beloved mother-in-law to Michael Lawrence Gregory O’Neill (Lynda) and Vagn Holmquist Hansen (Lisa). She was also aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a church organist from the young age of 14 and after marrying Fred at the age of 25, enjoyed decades of being organist with him as choir director in their home town of Deux Montagnes and neighbouring Rosemere, Quebec. She continued being church organist and pianist when she moved to Brockville, even playing for religious services at Sherwood Park Manor before COVID.
She will be cremated and her funeral will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 11am at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 175 Windsor Drive, Brockville. Her ashes will be buried in a private family ceremony at a later date in Deux Montagnes, Quebec beside her beloved Fred.
