It is with profound sadness we announce that Audrey Tseng passed peacefully and at grace at her home surrounded by family and friends on August 24, 2021. She was 82. She was so brave through her illness and strong to the end. The passing of this kind, compassionate and caring soul has left many family and friends bereft.
Born in Guelph in 1939, loving wife of the late Alan Tseng. Proud and loving mother to Paula.
Predeceased by parents Charles and Mabel Boyd Wood, brother Tom and sister Marion.
Audrey worked as a nurse for years and helped so many people, putting others ahead of herself. She met many of her dear friends in nursing. She volunteered for the Heart and Stroke Foundation and other organizations.
Audrey was inspired by art, travel and the beauty of the natural world. She enjoyed listening to classical, jazz and musical rock group Queen who made her smile and dance.
Audrey believed in supporting each other. She recently wrote to government officials demanding advocacy, healthcare and decent treatment for our seniors.
Audrey is dearly loved by family and extended family such as Wood, Taggett, Chong, Freethy and Husband to name a few. We are all grateful for her and love and miss her.
Memorial donations to groups such as shelters, environmental and animal groups, care for the aged and infirm are welcome. Please plant a tree as well.
Spiritual Ceremony online is Tuesday, September 7 at 7pm. Contact family for service information.
Everyone is invited to share remembrances and words of comfort.
A celebration of Life event will take place at another time.
