Bachir Nadda

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Bachir Nadda, who passed away at the age of 79, at the Credit Valley Hospital on Sunday, March 19th, 2023.

He is survived by his wife Rawda Nadda, his daughters Ruba, Layla and Fadia and his grandchildren Troy, Syria, Shayaa, Haseeba and James.

Born and raised in Damascus, Syria, Bachir catapulted himself to success as he immigrated alone to Canada in the late 1960's where he graduated from Concordia University in Montreal, traveled the world, and built a life with his wife Rawda for over 53 years in Canada as their home.

Bachir was loved and respected by everyone who knew him. His wit and intelligence was surpassed only by his genuine kindness and humor. He was the bedrock foundation of our family and will forever be the guiding light of what a family man truly is. He was a man of great honor.

His family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Cooksville Nursing Home who made the final year of his life so incredibly comfortable and peaceful.

There will be a graveside service on Tuesday March 28th at 2:30pm at Westminster Cemetery (5830 Bathurst St, North York, ON M2R 1Y6) Block H (refer to the on-site map at the Bathurst entrance). To send flowers, please ask any florist you use to send directly to Westminster Cemetery.  Please ask them to deliver to the office at 5830 Bathurst Street and have them call the office at the time of delivery. (416) 665-2015 and press 2 for the Cemetery.
