Barbara Gibson Hunter

After a long journey with Vascular dementia, our Mom, Barbara of Brantford, Oakville and Thornbury, Ontario, passed away Friday, August 24th in her 87th year. She was predeceased by her loving husband, John (Jack) Hunter, and her youngest son, Andrew. Mom will be lovingly remembered by son, James Caven (Diane), Halifax; daughter, Sue Caven (Peter), Hamilton; step-daughter, Hannah Hunter, Scarborough; and stepson – John Hunter (Rebecca), Vancouver. She leaves 13 grandchildren: Ryan Ford (Dana); Kyle Ford (Kelly); Megan Ford; Gibson Caven (Thomas); Geoffrey Caven; Matthew Jobb (Lisa); Evan Jobb (Alyssa); Benjamin LeBlanc (Varek); Jeff Pennington (Alice); Emily Pennington (Julian Katz); Eric Pennington (Sam); Claire Hunter-Good (Mathew); Gillian Hunter-Gibbs (Blair) and Rob Hunter (Katie) And 10 Great Grandchildren: Cole & Clay Ford; Vivian Jobb; Madeleine Pennington; Aubrie & Aidan Katz; Zoe & Olin Hunter-Good; Ellie & Myles Hunter-Gibbs A graveside ceremony will take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto on Saturday, September 22 @ 10am. A special thank you to the staff of Orchard Villa, Pickering for their care and kindness to Mom and our family. Donations in memory of Barbara to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
