Barbara Joan (Coughlin) Keown

Barbara Joan Keown (Coughlin) died peacefully, Friday January 29 2021 St. Joes. Hamilton, after a lengthy battle of kidney disease. She was born April 11,1933 in Port Hope, Ontario to (predeceased) Orval Walton Coughlin and Florence Hannah Coughlin (McElroy). Predeceased by brothers Ralph Coughlin (Jean) and Philip Coughlin.

Surviving is her husband of 50 years Royce Keown of Hamilton. Also surviving are her children, Douglas Anderson, daughter Patricia (Jim) of Hamilton, Randy Anderson of Hamilton. Barbara is survived by her Grandchildren Ashlynn, Jordan, Gabe, Lindsay, Lauren, Matthew, Tyler, Zachary, Kylie and Shania. Great-grandmother of Sophia. Survived by nieces and nephews Shannon, Laura, Glen, Sheri, Wendy, Rick and Doug. Leaving behind a host of cousins and friends.

Barbara loved her animals, she was an amazing cook and baker. She was an avid hockey and baseball fan. She was always ready to open her home and kitchen to anyone who needed a meal. She always had a smile on her face. She was a loving, caring and devoted wife and mother, who would always put others before herself. She will be missed by so many.

Donations may be made to Urban Wildlife Care or The Kidney Foundation. Cremation will take place, and a Celebration of Life will take place at a time when safe to do so.
