Barbara F. Shadford

Barbara F. Shadford passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving children on February 14th, 2021 in Ingersoll, Ontario.
Barbara was born June 17th, 1929 in Tsumeb, Namibia and was the loving wife of the late George L. M. Shadford who she married on August 7th, 1956.  During this time she raised three children while living in Namibia, South Africa, Ireland, Peru and finally Canada.
After her children were grown, Barbara studied Geriatric Care at Sheridan College and worked for a number of years for the Red Cross in Oakville, Ontario looking after the elderly in their homes. She took great pride and enjoyment supporting the people she cared for. Barbara also had a great love for wildlife and ensured that all manner of creatures were taken care of and well fed, with the focus on those who needed it.  She loved and supported the underdog the most.
Barbara is survived by her children, Karin, George, Brendan and her grandchildren, Ryan, Forrest, Alwyn, Erica and Jessica.
