Basil Austin Lee

January 28th 1937- February 24th 2021

Basil has finally been reunited with the love of his life, Gloria. He has joined her in eternal peace with their youngest son Ricky.

Basil is survived by his children Robert (Carol), Ray (Julie), Randy (Ralin) and Sue (Brent).

He was a loving and generous Gung to eleven grandchildren & Tai Gung to five great-grandchildren.

In 1959 Basil and Gloria started their family in Jamaica. In 1975 they became proud immigrants of Canada, where they continued to build their beautiful family through hard work and love.

Basil was a devoted member and volunteer at Tsung Tsin Association for nearly two decades. As a proud member of the Jamaican- Chinese community, Basil enjoyed working with young people, teaching the Hakka dialect and sharing his wisdom.

Basil will forever be remembered for his love of food, his contagious belly laughs, and his famous “OH BOY”

A private service will be held on Sunday, March 7th.
For those unable to attend in person, the service will be livestreamed at 12:00pm - 2:00pm.
