It is with great sadness we announced the passing of our father Bernd ( Bernie ) Ottenbruch on February 9 th 2024 at the age of 85 years . Born in Wuppertal Germany , February 7 1939.
He will sadly be missed by family and friends he leaves behind his two children Debra J Ottenbruch & Derick W Ottenbruch.
His spirit of strength and courage kept his fight with cancer. He never wished to surrender he did not give up and fought to the end.
He was an avid reader. He loved his books and dabble with art and enjoyed painting in his later years, he would find his refuge in gardening. He also enjoyed a good conversation about politics or world news.
A heartfelt thanks to the St. Vincent Bruyere staff and nurses in the last 6 months.
There will be a cremation, followed by a private celebration of life later.
