At the age of 95, Beryl Doreen Iannuzzi, neé Kirkwood, passed away peacefully at home during an after-dinner nap.
Beryl will be sadly and greatly missed by her loving children Derek and Doreen and much-loved grandson Daniel. From the moment Daniel was born, their bond was immediate and her devotion everlasting. Always his Nana Boo, in recent years especially he always lifted her spirits and brought a smile to her face. Beryl also leaves many nieces and nephews, extended family and loyal friends and neighbours.
Daughter of Alexander and May Kirkwood, Beryl was the last surviving member of her birth family now joining her brothers and sisters Betty, Brenda, Bruce, Brian ("Sonny Boy"), and Barbara -- all together again.
"Booie" always lit up any room with her "gift of gab", outgoing personality, gregarious laugh, funny story, joke and zest for life; if you had a piano, no doubt you'd hear her self-admitted Welsh wail come through a boisterous rendition of her favorites "My Bonnie" or "Come Sit By My Side Little Darling."
Throughout her community-filled life, she was devoted to family, friends, and neighbours -- whether via her Avonlea curling buddies, Forest Grove United, her Volkswagen Beetle shuttle service, road trips to Kleinburg's Hawthorne House for Christmas shopping, hosting/attending the occasional "Stitch 'n B**ch" club, or impromptu neighbourhood chats as she walked her beloved, at-the-time pawesome companion (be it Tonka, Tempo Jamie, Huey, Sally, Murphy, or Soze).
As her wish, Beryl was able to stay in her home with Derek and Doreen by her side until she passed. Her decline in recent years was made more comfortable by the unwavering respect, support and care of a dedicated group of PSW's via SE Health.
There have been no visitations or funeral services but family members encourage you to share your memories to the Tribute Wall (above) perhaps whilst sipping a hot cup of Red Rose tea (her fave). In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to
SickKids Foundation
-- Beryl always said "they saved my life" from a serious Mastoiditis condition when she was a child -- or

, and/or any other organization dedicated to dementia-related support and research.
Loved and missed by all who knew her.
