Beverley Montgomery, known to family and friends as “Bevie” passed away on May, 31st, 2021, at the age of 85 years. She was born and raised in Temiscaming, Quebec, and moved to Ottawa to further her education and start her long working career. She still considered Temiscaming her home because of her cottage. She spent many summers in her beloved camp at Antoine’s Point with many family members and good friends.
She was the last of her generation of the Montgomery-Cowper clan but is survived by many cousins, and many nieces and nephews: Gregory, Susan, Christopher, Glenda, Julie, Fred, David, and Ellen. Predeceased, by her father and mother, Nelson and Edna Montgomery, by her brother, Donald Montgomery and her sister, Beryl Phillips. She will be missed greatly by her best friend, Deanna and her children, Scott, Sharon, Elizabeth, Jennifer, and Geoff.
She worked for many years at Revlon Canada and took pride in the work she did there. She also worked for Thomas Supply, where she was dedicated to the company. She was a crafter at heart, making many homemade gifts for all the children in her life. She enjoyed travelling on many occasions to Banff to cross country ski.
In the last five years, she resided at Carlingwood Retirement Home, where the staff took great care of her. Her family wishes to thank them and the staff at the Civic Hospital.
A celebration of life will be held when it is safe to do so.
Donations in memory of Bevie can be made to The Humane Society, in memory of her love for her cats Shadow and Willow.
