WILLIAMS, BRANSBY (BILL) –
Passed away peacefully after a brave battle with Cancer. Bill came to Toronto from Timmins at the age of 16. With his great love for fashion he took his first job in the garment district where he apprenticed for a few years before landing a job with Harry Rosen; subsequently leaving Harry to work with another well know clothier Cy Mann at Williams of the Westbury. He left Williams of the Westbury to open his own shop with Mike Roger, best known as Roger and Williams Custom Tailors . Bill was known for his wide knowledge of music and his great love of the Big Band Era and Sinatra. He had a wonderful sense of humour and could always entertain with his joke telling or by the spirited way in which he could tell a story . Bill leaves a loving wife, Olivia, a son Mark, daughters Peggy and Caryn. His four grandchildren, Sandra, and in the UK - Ayesha, Sheena and Ella along with four great grandchildren. He will be missed by many friends. Following his wishes there will be a private cremation. If desired, donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
