Brenda Rosemary Albert (nee Butcher) passed away on December 9, 2021 in Ottawa. Born in Brighton, England on August 28, 1923, Brenda lived a long and colourful life, both during WWII in the UK and in Canada since 1945. She will be sadly missed by her sons, Richard Albert and his wife Colette of Vancouver and Andrew Albert and his wife Debbie, of Burks Falls, Ont. She is survived also by her sister Audrey Dier in Hove, UK, her five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Brenda was pre-deceased in 2008 by her husband Major Robert Albert. Brenda will be remembered fondly for her sense of humour and witty retorts. Her sons will always remember that she was a “constant” during times of their father’s extended deployments overseas. After moving to Ottawa, Brenda applied her accounting and administration skills at the Ottawa School of Art and the Summerhill condominium community. Special thanks to the staff at Perley Health Centre and Assurance Home Care for their support and compassion during Brenda’s final months. As per her wishes cremation has taken place.
