With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bruce William Bennett in the early morning hours of April 1, 2025, at Hospice Renfrew. He was born on September 25, 1953, and was originally from Cobden. Bruce dedicated his life to others throughout his remarkable career as a Palliative Care Nurse (RPN) at Elizabeth Bruyere. He touched the lives of countless patients and colleagues, embodying compassion and professionalism in every interaction.

Bruce was known not only for his clinical skills but also for the warmth and kindness he brought into the lives of those around him. He made a tremendous impact on all those he supported and worked with over the years, leaving a legacy of caring and commitment in the field of nursing.

Bruce is survived by his loving siblings, Larry (Grace) Bennett, Jack (Patti Ann) Bennett, and Ross (Darlene) Spence. He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry (Karen) Bennett; his sister, Brenda Bennett Byce; his parents, John Bennett and Elda Spence; and his stepfather, Murray Spence.

Bruce's memory will live on in the hearts of his nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, who will remember him for his kindness and dedication. In accordance with Bruce's wishes, a private family service will be held at Howard Cemetery in Forester Falls at a later date. His legacy of compassion will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
