Bruno Raffaghello

Our father passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 23, 2017 in his 91st year. Devoted husband of Margherita for 62 wonderful years, he died only two months after his beloved wife. Loving and truly amazing father to Aurora, Louis, Liliana and Andrea and their spouses. Cherished grandfather of Mathew, Julia, Amelia, David and Michael Raffaghello and John and David Sopinka, and dear uncle of many nieces and nephews who will all miss him dearly. Much loved bisnonno of Alex. He was born in Capratta D’Orba, near Alessandria, Italy. He came to Canada in 1952 from Piemonte with $5 in his pocket. From his humble beginnings, he used his drive and intelligence to create a successful cured meat processing company which sold products nationwide. He retired from the business in 1981 but never stopped working. He was a man of deep great kindness and integrity. Always caring and helping others, he led a full life surrounded always by friends and family. A private cremation has already taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 3rd, 2017 6:00 to 8:00pm at Ward Funeral Homes.
