Calvin Scott Kirby

It is with much sadness that the family of Calvin Scott Kirby announce his passing on Saturday February 10th 2018 at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie. Calvin was the beloved husband and soul mate of Beryl for seventy years. Dear father of Pamela (Danny Stiver) and Dale (Gayle) Kirby. Grandfather to Mathew (Julie) Stiver, Brandon (Andrea) Stiver, Amber (Deven Mazzuca), Kristine (Gareth) Kenworthy, and Scott Kirby. Great Grandfather to Autumn, Mavrick, Rownix, Easton Stiver, Natalie Kenworthy, Shea–Lynne and Conner Cook. Dear brother of Lillian Kearnan and predeceased by sister Rosemond Jennett. Calvin will also be missed by his many dear nieces, nephews and friends. Calvin was born in Angus Ontario and was an Air Crew Officer for the Royal Canadian Air Force. He graduated from the University of Guelph and worked for the Ministry of Natural Resources until retiring in 1983.  Calvin was an avid reader, lover of art and had a passion for gardening. Guests will be received at the JENNETT FUNERAL & CREMATION CENTRE, 152 Bradford St, Barrie, on February 19th, 2018 with visitation from 11:00 am until time of service at 12:00 pm. There will be a reception to follow the service. Spring interment at Barrie Union Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Royal Victoria Cardiac Centre in Barrie, the Canadian Red Cross, or to a charity of choice.
