Spinney, Carleton Blake of Toronto passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Humber River Hospital in his 89th year. Born in Harmony, Nova Scotia, he was a son of the late Lester Raleigh Spinney and Ethel Marie (Wharton) Spinney. Carleton was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved the outdoors and the cottage. He was an accountant by trade and worked for various organizations (i.e. OHIP) and companies. He is survived by Wayne (Merridith) Spinney, Toronto; Barry (Lucy) Spinney, Boston; Scott (Joie Zeglinski) Spinney, Ottawa; Corey (Mariela) Spinney, London; Dana Spinney, Toronto; Tara (Elie) Spinney; stepson Sean Green; grandchildren, Ryan, Dawn, Jeff, Andrew, Jennifer, Katie, Aimee, Evan, Ella, Jaden, Dylan; great grandchild, Nolan. He was pre-deceased by his wife Lynn, first wife Aurora, daughter Gail, brothers Alva, Hartley, sisters Peggy, Dot, Lena.
The funeral Service will be Friday, February 5 at Forest Lawn Cemetery and Crematorium, 4570 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario. Viewing will be from 1 to 2 pm. The service will be from 2 to 3 pm.
A reception for family and friends will follow after the service.
