After a courageous battle with Cancer and Parkinsons Disease, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Ann Stirling. Carol passed-away peacefully, with family by her side, on May 29, 2024 at the Good Samaritan Care Home in Alliston.
Born in Toronto on May 1st, 1939, Carol was the eldest of 8 children of Ernest and Shirley Bonnell. Carol was and raised in a home full of love and joy, which became her foundation. Carol was loving, friendly and treated everyone she met with kindness and respect. Carol greatly enjoyed gardening and was an accomplished seamstress, knitter and crocheter. Carol also enjoyed curling which she took up in retirement and after being diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease.
Carol’s greatest joy was her family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her second husband Dallas, daughter Diane, son-in-law Wallace and granddaughters Holly and Heather, son Duncan, step daughters Michelle (Mike) grandson Troy, Lynda (Owen) granddaughter Madison and Julianne, grandsons Braydon and Adam and her siblings Gloria, Beverly (Clive) and Jim and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Carol was predeceased by her first husband Matthew, parents Shirley and Ernest, sisters Bonnie, Cathy and Pat and brother Bob.
The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses, PSW’s and support staff who cared so lovingly for her during her stay. A celebration of life will take place at a later date, to share the joy of Carol’s life and all she held-dear.
