On July 30, 2021, we lost our family’s matriarch, our hearts centre, our most precious Queen Bee – Lynn. Following a short illness she spent her final five weeks surrounded by the love and care of her family and closest friends. Lynn passed peacefully in her home with her two daughters Kim and Shelley and her beloved granddaughter Nicole at her side.
She was predeceased by husband, Ross Snow in 2011. She leaves behind her two daughters Kim (Steve), Shelley (John) and her sweet granddaughter Nicole.
Lynn was a devoted older sister to Bill (Tracy), Cheryl (Garry), Kathy, and Debbie as well as her two sister-in-laws Karen and Marie, and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. All loved her dearly.
She was born in Windsor on February 15,1945 to Shirley and Doug Burnie.
Lynn worked part time at Sears in Bramalea for over 25 years where she met and maintained many cherished friendships.
Whatever she set her sights on – Lynn mastered. She was an exceptional painter, musician, and seamstress. Her extensive garden was legendary, a lush oasis of calm serenity. She was a mean euchre and cribbage player, with an excellent sense of humor and a contagious giggle.
A lover of travel her ‘joie de vie’ and boundless curiosity brought her to such places as Italy, Morocco, Venezuela, Costa Rica, India, and Nepal.
Lynn was tough as nails with a pure, tender heart of gold. Her memory will be cherished dearly forever by all that were blessed to know her.
Our family would like to thank:
Terry Johnson for his enduring friendship and endless sweet kindness.
Stephanie Walter for being the best girlfriend anyone could ask for.
All the friends and family who called, texted, and sent cards and letters.
And last, but certainly not least, Lynn’s brother and sisters for their incredible support.
