Charles Sidney du Toit, Chartered Accountant, poet, philosopher and musician, passed with peace and grace at noon on Sunday, October 15th, 2017. He leaves his wife and soulmate Sheila; three daughters Laura (Erwin), Nancy (Allan) and Marian (Will); two step-sons Damon (Kimberley) and Aaron (Katlyn); 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Charles and his family arrived in Canada from South Africa in 1981. He then had a successful career as a partner with BDO in Toronto. In retirement, he enjoyed hitting the links, relishing jazz and classical music, playing the double bass, savouring the written word, and imbibing fine wines.
Friends and colleagues are invited to join his family on Friday, October 20 at 2:00 p.m. to bid him adieu at the following location: Le Treport 1075 Queensway East, Mississauga, ON, L4Y 4C1. For more information, call 905-276-7729.
