Captain C. R. Borbridge (ret.), MBA, B.Sc., P. Eng was born in Fort Ware BC on January 5th, 1940 and was brought into this world by his mother, Grace Isobel (Izzy) Borbridge (Mama B) and his father Harry C. Borbridge without medical assistance because Sparky the bush pilot couldn’t get there in time. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at home after a long battle with COPD on Monday May 11th, 2020.
He is survived by his brother Tim, his five children whom he affectionately referred to as the “Magnificent Five”; Brad, Jennifer (Eric), Katy, K.C. and Mitch and his four grandchildren; Riley, Charlotte, Nathan, and Maggie.
Bob, as everyone called him, was very proud of his service in the RCAF from 1957 to 1970. He became an A Category instructor flying Harvards and Tutors. His persevering spirit and perpetual optimism was unshakeable. He was known for being smart and ready with a laugh. He was well loved by many and always had a good story to tell. Family was everything to him. He will be sadly missed.
The family is forever grateful to everyone that provided his exceptional home and hospital care.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
