Chengyong Liu

Chengyong Liu, at the age of 87, died peacefully in the morning on Monday, October 26th, 2020 in Ottawa.

He will be eternally loved and sorely missed by his beloved wife Zhizhong, cherished children Helen (Yong), Dai (Queena), grandchildren, and siblings.

Chengyong had worked as a medical doctor for almost 40 years in China. As a devoted doctor, he was respected by his colleagues and regarded as a dependable doctor by his patients. After a successful career, he moved to Ottawa, Canada, and enjoyed his retirement life by spending time with family.

He loved cooking and sharing food with family and relatives. Big family gathering brought him great satisfaction. He loved traveling with family, had great interest in photographing. He loved reading books and newspapers, sharing educational articles.

He was a man of quiet disposition, always had a smile on his face, and was always willing to help others.

The family wishes to thank the staff, nurses and doctors at Glebe Centre and Ottawa Civic Hospital for their compassionate care provided to Chengyong.

A private family service will be held followed by cremation.
