Christie Chantler

The family of Christie Chantler are saddened to announce her passing on February 15th, 2022, in her 80th year, at St. Peter's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Christie is survived by her son Mark Bortis and her daughter-in-law Melanie and her beloved grandson Jayvyn, her son Darrell Bortis and her daughter-in-law Theresa, her daughter Laurie Harrison and her son-in-law Wayne. Christie is also survived by her sister Clare Drury and brother-in-law Fred, her brother Kerry Chantler and sister-in-law Sue, and her brother Lee Chantler and her nieces and nephews.
Christie loved being with family and was an excellent swimmer most of her life. Christie also enjoyed baking, knitting and needlework.

The family would like to thank the staff at Idlewyld Manor for their care of Christie during her stay and the staff at St. Peter's Hospital for their kindness and compassion. If wished, a donation to Idlewyld Manor or St. Peter's Hospital in Hamilton would be appreciated by the family. A celebration of Christie's life will be held at a later date.
