Christopher "Chris" Konecki, 67, passed away on October 7th, 2017 after a battle with liver cancer.
Chris was born in Poland on August 4th, 1950. After moving to Winnipeg, Manitoba, he graduated from Elmwood High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Manitoba.
Chris worked as a civil engineer for many different organizations over the course of his long career. He enjoyed music, including playing the saxophone, skiing, food, and travelling the world. He was also actively involved in the Hash House Harriers.
Chris is survived by his wife Lusiana Konecki (nee Kejora), his daughter Clarissa Konecki, and son Marian Konecki, of South Kuta, Bali, Indonesia; his ex-wife Gloria Konecki (nee Mitchell), daughter Christina Konecki, son-in-law Thierry Wildgust, son Robert Konecki, daughter Elizabeth Konecki, and grand-daughter Chloe Wildgust, all of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; and his mother Blandyna Konecki of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
Chris is preceded in death by his step-father John Konecki.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the May Court Hospice in Ottawa, Ontario. The family of Chris wishes to thank The Ottawa Hospital and the May Court Hospice.
