Claudette Roseanna (Filion) Chénier

It's with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Claudette Roseanna (Filion) Chénier in Ottawa, Ontario at the age of 73.

Born in Montreal, she was predeceased by her parents Laurin Filion & Therese (Lefèbvre) Filion and her brother Rhéal Filion. She is survived by her husband Marcel, her daughter Chantale, her sons Raymond (Shelly) & Marc Bisson (Jennifer), her grand-daughters Latisha & Sophie, her sisters Françoise Sabourin (Jacques), Joanne Chénier (Jacques), sister-in-law Anne Filion

Claudette was a generous, kind, and loving soul who would go to any length to help family and friends. She enjoyed spending her time gardening, cleaning, shopping, meeting people for lunch, getting her nails done by her granddaughter, spending afternoons at the casino with her husband, family, and friends, exercising, finding great deals in the clearance section, traveling, taking care of people, and enjoying a little happy hour with friends. Daisy, Meeko, Destiny, and Mariah are family pets that will greatly miss her too. Her favorite sayings: “fit to be tied”, “like a bat out of hell”, and “dadada”.

She was the glue of our family and will forever be missed but never forgotten.

C’est avec une grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès soudain de Claudette Roseanna (Filion) Chénier à Ottawa, en Ontario à l’âge de 73.

Née à Montréal, elle fut prédécédée par son père Laurin Filion, sa mère Thérèse Lefèbvre et son frère Rhéal Filion. Elle laisse dans le deuil son époux Marcel, sa fille Chantale, ses fils Raymond (Shelly) , Marc Bisson (Jennifer), ses petites-filles Latisha, Sophie, ses sœurs Françoise Sabourin (Jacques), Joanne Chénier (Jacques).

Claudette était une âme généreuse, gentille et aimante, prête à tout pour aider sa famille et ses amis. Elle aimait passer son temps à jardiner, à nettoyer, à magasiner, à rencontrer des gens pour le déjeuner, à se faire faire les ongles par sa petite-fille, à passer des après-midi au casino avec son mari, sa famille et ses amis, à faire de l’exercice, à trouver de bonnes ventes dans la section des aubaines, à voyager, à prendre soin des gens et à profiter d’un petit « happy hour » avec des amis. Elle manquera également aux animaux de compagnie de la famille, Daisy, Meeko, Destiny et Mariah. Ses dictons préférés : « fit to be tied», «like a bat out of hell » et « dadada ».

Elle était le ciment de notre famille et elle nous manquera à tout jamais, mais ne sera jamais oubliée.
