Coby Vanderkooy

Jacoba (Coby) Cornelia (Boerstra) Vanderkooy: Passed away on January 17th, 2022. She was born in Friesland, the Netherlands October 24, 1928 the daughter of Lolle Aants Boerstra and Jannetje Rietdijk.

Coby will be sadly missed by her sons Lloyd (Diane), Peter (Pam), and Carl (Leslie); daughters Cathy Grant (Mike Schmidt) and Jean Woolnough (Gord); and daughter-in-law Karin Vanderkooy, twelve Grandchildren and five Great Grandchildren. Sister Trijntje (Tiny) Stewart in Canada and brother Janus (Jim) Boerstra in the Netherlands. Predeceased by her husband Everett Vanderkooy (February 1996).

Coby was fortunate to live a good life and remained close with all of her family near and far.

Coby asked to be cremated and a Celebration of her Life will be held later in the spring when it is safer to bring together her family and friends.
