Constance Deltuvaite

It is with heavy hearts that announce the passing of Constance (Konstancija) Deltuvaite. She passed away peacefully at the Labdara Lithuanian Nursing Home on July 4, 2024 at the age of 100.

She was born in Lithuania and was very proud of her Lithuanian Heritage. She always followed the events in her homeland, never forgetting her native language. Constance never stopped helping the poor and homeless people in Lithuania. She loved so much her relatives left in Lithuania visiting them almost every single year.

Constance came to Canada in 1948 with pennies in her pocket and worked every single day hard. She was kind hearted, very friendly, and loved cats very much.

She has never been married, led a lonely life but was very happy about that.

Many thanks to Dr. Norkus for her compassionate care and to the nurses and staff at the Labdara Lithuanian Nursing Home in Mississauga.

To comply with Constance’s final wishes, no service will be held in Canada. Cremation has taken place and her ashes will be taken to her homeland and will rest at Silavotas Cemetery in native country Lithuania besides her parents Simonas and Magdalena.

I invite you to please light a candle and celebrate Constance‘s memory in your own ways. I know that she will be present with each and every one of us in spirit.

May her memory be eternal in our hearts.
