Daniel "Dan" Murnie Hartin

Daniel Murnie Hartin passed away peacefully in his 65th year on December 24, 2022. Beloved husband of Joanne Hartin. Cherished dad of Beth-Ann (Chris), Helen (Marcio), Charles (Brooke), Samantha, Donna (Dan), and Steven (Chantel). Loving grandpa of Caleb, Jacob, Nathan, Colton, Dakota, Aiden, Skyler-Rose, Trevor, and Chloe.

Daniel was born on April 13, 1957, and grew up in Port Robinson, Ontario, with his big family enjoying his young days working in the carpentry shop with his father and caring for his horse. Daniel married Joanne in 1986, and they built a beautiful life together - their love was an example to everyone who knew them. Daniel loved being a dad. He considered his children to be his most outstanding achievement. He was so proud of his kids for the people they are today. And being Grandpa was his favourite role yet! Daniel was happiest when he spent his time outdoors doing activities like fishing, camping, and relaxing by the campfire.

The family would like to extend our sincere appreciation and thank you to all the dedicated doctors and nurses at the Barrie and Newmarket hospital, and a special thank you to his in-home care nurses.

Family and friends will be welcomed at Barrie Free Methodist church on Saturday, December 31st, 2022, at 11:00 am, with refreshments will be served afterward.
