Danielle Marguerite LaRose

Danielle Marguerite LaRose (Gorley), age 63,  passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughter and her three brothers on June 17, 2021 at the Bruyère Hospital in Ottawa after a powerful fight against cancer.  She was born on May 14, 1958 in Ottawa to the late Gerry Gorley (Pépé) and Madeleine Gorley (Mémé).  Also known as nanny, toune, nan', la soeur, she was survived by her daughter Paola, her brothers Denis (Diane), Arthur, and Jean-Paul (Louise)  nephews and nieces, Blaine, Vincent (Nixy), Marc-Antoine (Cherish), Anik (Al), and Kim (Max).

Danny was an extremely nurturing and dedicated sister, partner and devoted mother. She always thought of everyone else's needs before her own.  Her constant smile and positive outlook on life made her irresistible to the people around her. She loved everyone and everyone loved her.  She was funny, spicy and a little bit naughty - she was larger than life! She was diagnosed with terminal cancer at the peak of her life in October 2020 and gracefully accepted her reality while fighting to enjoy her life until the very end. She is an inspiration to everyone.

Danielle's Celebration of Life will be held on  Sunday August 15, 2021 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
