Family meant everything to Daphne, and you didn't need to be of any relation to be considered family. She loved anyone who came into her life, with a special place in her heart for all "the boys" who she treated as her sons.
Born in 1935, Daphne moved to Canada from Guyana in 1966 where she spent the remainder of her life. She was a religious woman who enjoyed reading the bible and listening to gospel music. Her biggest joy was watching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up.
Visitation will be held on Friday January 27, 2017 from 11:00am to 1:00 pm at St. James Cemetery, held in their chapel located at 635 Parliament Street(below Danforth, above Wellesley St) 416-964-9194. Funeral service and burial to follow visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
The time has come for you to go. You will never know how many people you have touched or how much you are loved. It's time for us to let you go, but you will never be forgotten. We will love you with all our hearts, always and forever."
