D’Arcy Chow

D’Arcy D. Chow, age 36, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022, in his hometown of Scarborough, Ontario. He is survived by his loving mother Catherine T. Guenette Chow; brother, Wayne Chow (Katie Hutchinson), niece Collette Chow, and countless family and friends that he cherished throughout his life. Preceded in death by his brother Clifford J. Chow.

D’Arcy was born July 26, 1985, shortly after his family moved from the Parkdale neighborhood to Scarborough. He was the youngest of three brothers and certainly one of a kind. A true Renaissance man by definition, with interests that spanned many areas of life, he truly embraced all knowledge and developed everything he did to the fullest capacity. Then, in his unique manner, he moved on to learn and conquer something else. If we were to list all of D’Arcy’s talents and mastery of subjects across his wide spectrum of interests, it would fill a library of books. If you were lucky enough to have received one of his creations, be assured that the pride, craftsmanship, and a part of his soul were put into it. If he told you it’s one of a kind, it truly is.

Always willing to help out in any way he could, D’Arcy touched countless lives, from the closest of friends to near strangers. He was the source of knowledge for those looking to build and create, and when you needed something done or fixed you always knew it would be done in an exceptional manner (although there was never a guarantee on when it would be completed). If you asked his opinion, he was never hesitant or afraid to share his, even if it wasn’t popular, and you always knew where he stood on any matter discussed.

From his family and those he considered family to the expansive rings of friends and acquaintances, everyone can agree that this man, with so many gifts and talents to offer this world, was taken too soon.

Private arrangements have been made and a gathering of family and friends to celebrate D’Arcy’s life will be set at a future date.
