Darin John McKillop passed away at Royal Victoria Regional Health Center in Barrie following a short illness. Darin was born in Chatham, Ontario and lived many years in Ridgetown. Darin was predeceased by his parents Betty (Edwards) and John (Jack) McKillop. He is survived by his sister Deborah (McKillop) Veccia, husband Robert Veccia, his nephew Zander Veccia and niece Addisyn Veccia.
Darin graduated from Ridgetown District High School and attended Fanshawe College. Darin attended the Ontario Truck Driving School for a career as a truck driver and spent several years travelling all over the United States before settling in the South River area. Darin had a love and passion for the outdoors and a sincere love for Eagle Lake on the East bay side where he spent many hours on the water boating and helping others with boat repairs and snowmobile tours or at the Eagle Lake Narrows. Darin also had a business doing boat and small engine repairs and could fix anything he set his mind to. Darin had many good friends in the South River area that would lend him a hand when needed and and those who knew him could remember his passion for helping others in need. Darin left a lasting impression on the lives of many, and will be remembered with fondness by his family, neighbours and friends. May his soul be at peace.
Darin has been cremated, a small celebration of life and interment will happen at a later time.
